If you live in: NM (Domenici), UT (Bennett), NH (Gregg), CO (Allard), MD, (Mikulski), VT (Leahy), CA (Feinstein), WI (Kohl)
We need you to contact them NOW, and here is why/what:
These senators will be in the conference that takes place between House/Senate Appropriations, Interior Subcommittee. They iron out the differences between the bills each house voted on. Now, we need the above senators to push in conference, for keeping the Rahall amendment in so no wild horses can be sold in 2006. No such language went through the senate.
Can you call or fax (no time for mailed letters) and urge them to push for keeping that language IN the conference report/final language? That's what we need. We need many dozens of letters/calls NOW. Ask for a definitive reply quickly. You dont have to live in those states, but people who do have more clout so to speak. Start now, and dont stop until we say it's safe. Cross post.
