Senator Bingaman voted against last year's Ag amendment. In all liklihood,
he will vote against this bill too. He has no idea whether or not S 1915/HR 503
will get a vote.
Keep in mind that this is exactly what Goodlatte and company said about our
chances for a vote in House!
It is vital that we keep contacting our senators and also please contact
Senate Majority Leader, Bill Frist urging him to take immediate action on HR
503! Please remind Senator Frist that each day the passage of this bill is
delayed, horses continue to suffer horrrible cruelties both during transport to
slaughter and throughout the slaughter process itself. Let him know that
millions of Americans as well as the overwhelming majority of Congress demand swift
passage of this bill!
Senator Frist's contact information is as follows:
Phone: 202-224-3344
Fax: 202-228-1264
